The SBA is hiring a Senior Enterprise Risk Analyst in the Risk Management & Compliance Department. The Senior Enterprise Risk Analyst supports enterprise risk management (ERM) activities for the State Board of Administration (SBA), including identifying and assessing risks and controls, providing an enterprise-wide consolidated view of risk, recommending process/control enhancements, and providing consultation to business units on best practices. The position enhances a structured process across the SBA for identifying, assessing, and mitigating enterprise wide and business unit level risks and controls. The position also monitors and reports on risk management initiatives at the strategic, oversight group and business unit levels as well as identify and reporting periodically on key risk indicators. This position works on-site, in-office in Tallahassee, Florida.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working with business units and senior management to establish and maintain effective risk management processes and Risk Response Plans
- Developing and maintaining the ERM group’s documentation of risks and controls and key risk indicators
- Collaborating with Director of ERM and Lead Enterprise Risk Analyst to conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments
- Developing and generating management and oversight group reporting
- Developing and maintaining expertise in the technical performance concepts used in enterprise risk management
- Performing other duties as assigned
What you should have
Three years of relevant experience. A postsecondary degree may be used as an alternative for years of direct experience.
Preferences:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in finance, mathematics, accounting, economics, statistics or a related field
- Prior experience in auditing and/or developing, implementing and evaluating internal controls
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of industry best practices for controls, policies, and procedures
- Dedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through skills
- Excellent organizational skills including the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, consistently produce accurate work, meet deadlines and to provide detailed documentation that supports processes and results

- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
