This position is remote eligible for up to 40% of the time. Hours are typically Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with occasional evening events. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.

Pay and Incentive Plan:
Starting Salary: $143,000 Pay Range: $126,595 - $159,596
In addition to competitive pay and benefits, we offer an annual performance-based incentive that rewards eligible employees for their contributions to our success.
Purpose:
This is a new position charged to develop and lead the strategic execution of ESL’s Financial Wellness strategy by identifying market opportunities, risks, and trends. The manager will build then oversee a team responsible for driving design and delivery of digital and person assisted solutions that measurably improve financial health and empowerment for ESL’s members. This role manages a team that ensures integration of financial wellness across ESL teams and functions to impact processes, products, and experiences for over 433,000 external members and 1,000 internal employees.
Accountabilities:
Build and lead a Financial Wellness Innovation Team to develop and deliver solutions that improve member financial health
- Develop and manage ESL’s Financial Wellness Framework
- Build and then lead a focused, agile, small team dedicated to financial wellness innovation.
- Ensure the development and implementation of a continually prioritized backlog and roadmap of solutions that drive Financial Health for ESL stakeholders
- Oversee the design and implementation of digital and person-assisted solutions
- Ensure solutions are data-informed and aligned with member needs
Collaborate across ESL to embed financial wellness into business processes and member experiences
- Partner with internal teams to align financial wellness goals with business strategies.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to embed financial wellness into customer journeys.
- Lead initiatives that translate member insights into actionable improvements.
- Integrate Financial wellness into ESL’s service delivery and product design
Manage escalations and feedback loops to continuously improve financial wellness solutions
- Monitor member feedback and service escalations related to financial wellness.
- Implement improvements based on data and feedback.
- Manage community requests for financial education and guidance (e.g. workshop or partnership requests) and direct as appropriate to internal or external resources for follow up.
Support strategic planning and reporting for financial wellness initiatives
- Contribute to strategic planning and performance reporting.
- Ensure alignment with ESL’s purpose and member impact goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent directly related experience
- In addition, a minimum of 10 years of business or non-profit experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial wellness or related disciplines (financial services, financial advising, credit counseling)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing direct reports
- Minimum of 5 years of program or product management experience with demonstrated ability to manage cross functional teams
- Demonstrated experience in building and implementing partnerships
- Ability to motivate, manage and lead people
- Superior analytical skills, research capabilities and attention to detail
- Superior critical thinking skills. Ability to build structure and processes around new ideas
- Exceptional communications skills
- Proven ability to independently manage complex activities
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with the highest levels of management, drive consensus and strategic decision making
- Demonstrated interpersonal, and team building skills, especially in cross-functional teams; ability to collaborate with team members and leaders throughout the company
- Highly effective communications skills (written and verbal)
- PC proficient (Excel, Power Point, Word)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading agile teams or innovation labs
- Background in financial technology, behavioral economics, or human-centered design
- Demonstrated project and process management skills using process improvement methodology and tools
