Position Summary
Responsible for the production of timely and accurate reports/presentations for Conning’s asset management clients and their consultants. Compiles reports and documents from several different sources, including commentary from Portfolio Managers, which is then proofread and analyzed for accuracy. Consult with Portfolio Managers, client service analysts, performance analysts and accountants, in order deliver accurate and timely reports on a monthly and quarterly time period.
This position requires a strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, as well as proven skills in grammar, proofreading and editing, in addition to an sharp eye for detail and accuracy. The ideal candidate must be independent and be able to manage several tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment. In addition, this position requires excellent communication skills in order to collaborate with peers and senior management.
Responsibilities
- Production of timely and accurate client reports/presentations on a monthly and quarterly time period
- Compile reports and documents from several different sources, including commentary from managers, which is proofread and analyzed for accuracy between the various sources.
- Consult with Portfolio Managers, client service analysts, performance analysts and accountants, in order deliver accurate and timely reports on a monthly and quarterly time period.
- Work to help streamline the reporting process inside the portfolio management department, as well as with IT team members.
Requirements
- New college graduates up to 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Business Management, or equivalent relevant reporting experience
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills strongly desired (VLOOKUP/Formulas/linking/macros)
- Intermediate PowerPoint skills strongly desired
- Proven ability to proofread, edit and to utilize proper grammar
- Strong analytical skills. Detail-oriented and accuracy-conscientious
- Ability to independently complete research and work with peers within strict time deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with peers and senior management.
