What is the Global Client Proposal Solutions team responsible for?
The Global Client Proposal Solutions (GCPS) Team is responsible for completing Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and other new business or client-related questionnaires which accurately and favorably represent the organization, and its investment products and services, to prospective clients and their advisers. As an RFP Specialist, you will have responsibility for completing RFPs, RFIs, Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), and other external client-related requests. This role works closely with Sales, Content Management, Product, Compliance, Legal, and other internal business partners to deliver accurate, persuasive, and compelling responses by the deadline.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of an RFP Specialist?
Proposal Development & Delivery
- Assists with completion of RFPs, RFIs, DDQs and surveys.
- Develops understanding of external clients and their requirements, our investment products, and distribution and product management priorities.
- Analyze requests to determine scope, Subject Matter Expert (SME) outreach requirements, and prioritizes own workload to adhere to the project timeline, highlighting any challenges or resource constraints in advance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Ensures all appropriate approval/review steps have been completed and documented for each submission, with input from other RFP team members, Product Management team and the Distribution team.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to gather data, resolve gaps, and align messaging with business priorities.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and business partners.
Quality Assurance & Process Improvement
- Maintain high standards for clarity, accuracy, and formatting across all materials, ensuring consistency with best practice guidelines, meeting client requirements, and accurately position the organization and products.
- Support the update of existing content, distinguishing between opportunity-specific customization and generic content.
- Leverage and embrace AI-enabled writing, review, and workflow tools to create efficiencies, enhance quality, and accelerate delivery.
What ideal qualifications would help someone to be successful?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years’ experience writing RFPs within the Asset Management industry.
- Excellent project management and organization skills, able to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- First-rate verbal and written communication skills, plus strong proofreading skills.
- Excellent research and analysis skills, thorough in following issues to a successful conclusion.
- Meticulous attention to detail across all aspects of data, language and grammar, and general layout and presentation.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally at all levels of seniority and across multiple cultures.
- Flexible and adaptable, ability to adjust to changes in workflow and succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Broad product knowledge across equity, fixed income, real estate and alternatives (or experience/education to develop this knowledge quickly) is highly desired.
Compensation Range: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary — designed to support their well-being and recognize their time, talents, and results. Along with base compensation, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, a 401(k) plan with a generous match, and recognition rewards. We expect the annual salary for this position to range between $75,000 - $93,000, depending on location and level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
