Our Asset Management business is dedicated to providing innovative investment solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. With a strong focus on ETFs, we are committed to driving growth and offering products that enhance accessibility, liquidity, and transparency in the markets.
We are looking for an ETF Capital Markets specialist and subject matter expert to join our entrepreneurial team.
This exciting role will involve:
Market Facilitation & Trading Support
- Partner with authorized participants (APs), broker-dealers, and market makers to support ETF creation and redemption processes and ensure efficient trade execution.
- Monitor ETF liquidity and bid-offer spreads across exchanges, providing actionable insights to enhance market performance.
- Respond to inquiries from institutional investors regarding ETF trading mechanics and liquidity options.
Stakeholder Education
- Proactively educate internal and external stakeholders on ETF market structure, trading strategies, and best execution practices.
- Address client queries on ETF liquidity, trading tactics, and operational workflows.
Market Surveillance & Analytics
- Analyze ETF trading behavior, flows, spreads, premiums/discounts, and other key metrics to ensure optimal pricing for clients.
- Collaborate with teams to identify disruptions and work to resolve issues impacting the ETFs' primary and secondary markets.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with broker-dealers, liquidity providers, exchanges, and other capital markets participants.
- Represent the firm at industry events, fostering strategic partnerships and promoting the organization’s suite of ETF products.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Development, Sales, and Marketing teams to position ETF offerings and communicate trading insights effectively.
- Support regulatory and compliance teams in adhering to market regulations impacting ETF capital markets activities.
You’ll need to have:
- 7 years of experience in ETF capital markets, trading, market making, or a related field, with a solid understanding of ETF structure and trading workflows.
- Commercial awareness of active ETF landscape and what is driving primary market activity.
- In-depth knowledge of equity, fixed-income, and derivatives markets, as well as ETF creation/redemption mechanisms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in market surveillance tools and trading platforms.
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Series 7 & 63 Licenses
- Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, FactSet, or other financial tools; programming or automation skills (e.g., Python, SQL) a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree or CFA designation preferred).

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $140,000 - $170,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
