This team is responsible for building and maintaining core portfolio management technology in support of the Portfolio Management teams across Equity products. The position is for an individual who has the vision, creativity, leadership, drive and determination to define, design and help deliver the products in support of tools used globally by Portfolio and Risk Managers. We are building a sophisticated suite of tools and flexible open platform technology to support full portfolio management cycle and fundamental research, helping to drive efficiency and bring transparency to performance.
We’ll trust you to:
- Understand, translate, and convey the front office and investment teams’ requirements to development team
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure product plans (roadmaps/features/functions/UI) fit the needs of our Equity investment teams, research, and risk user base.
- Interact with other Development functions to ensure requirements are fully understood, broken down sufficiently and estimated for correctly & consistently
- Perform comprehensive QA analysis on all new development to ensure data quality and consistency with requirements
- Help coordinate team participation in Scrum processes (from a functional perspective) e.g. Daily Stand-up, Backlog refinements and grooming, impact analysis, sprint demos and release retrospectives
- Documenting requirements and processes, defining scopes and objectives of software development projects
You’ll need to have:
- 3-5 years experience in Asset management and / or Fintech with knowledge of or experience with Investment vendor tools like FactSet, Bloomberg, Alphasense, etc.
- Problem-solving aptitude; the ability to distill problems into their simplest steps and find solutions
- Meticulous attention to detail, especially with regards to data, data structures and tables
- Self-motivated with plenty of initiative and organization
- Familiarity with financial markets and financial concepts. Fixed Income experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A passion for working in and developing a culture of collaboration, automation, improvement, sharing and excellence.
It is a bonus to have:
- BS/BA in Economics or Finance with a background in Mathematics or Programming desired.
- Experience with data analysis, financial analytics, and /or data science.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, and MS SQL

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $120,000 - $150,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
