Job Overview
Our Project Management Office is looking for someone to manage mid-to large-size projects with a focus on investment technology. The candidate must be able to successfully collaborate with senior management, vendors and service providers to execute project deliverables. Responsibilities include end-to-end project planning, prioritization, dependency management and project execution.
Project Managers use a variety of problem solving and project management skills and methodologies to drive the full lifecycle of project delivery from planning through implementation of people, process, and technology solutions. The candidate must be able to collaborate effectively, work independently as well as in teams, communicate effectively at all levels, and work on multiple initiatives that are running in parallel. Prior experience in the investment management industry as an IT project manager is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Scoping, planning and executing on IT projects; clarify scope and timing of all activities and deliverables.
Creating and maintaining project plans including tasks, dependencies, milestones, resources, issues and risks.
Communicating and collaborating with stakeholders on issues and project status; ensure ongoing commitment of all stakeholders whose buy-in is required for the successful delivery of the project.
Projects may include implementing new data sources, workflows, or third-party platforms.
Qualifications:
Experience in IT including 7-10 years of experience supporting Investment Technology projects in the financial services industry.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience in an institutional investment management firm supporting IT projects is preferred.
Understanding of trading workflows and data platforms.
Excellent organizational skills and strong hands-on project management capabilities including experience with project management best practices, standards, and methodologies, e.g. waterfall, agile, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, react positively to change and re-prioritize when required.
High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $280,000 per year.
