The Strategy Analyst will be a core member of Lazard’s Special Opportunities (Spec Opps) group, an elite, multidisciplinary team that reports directly to senior leadership. Spec Opps drives strategic and corporate development initiatives for leaders across the firm, supports the development of innovative financial products and new business lines, and serves as a source of intellectual capital on topics spanning public policy, macroeconomics, emerging technologies, and corporate finance.
In the near term, the Strategy Analyst will play a central role in supporting Lazard’s newly appointed Co‑Heads of North America, Tim Donahue and Ray McGuire, by implementing systems, driving analyses, and building processes that help advance their execution priorities. The Strategy Analyst will collaborate closely with a range of cross‑functional teams—including “Spec Opps”, Business / Strategic Planning, Financial Advisory sector and product leaders, and key operational support groups.
As the role evolves, and with exposure to senior‑level decision‑making at the intersection of firmwide strategy and execution, the Strategy Analyst will have opportunities to contribute to cross‑business initiatives and corporate development efforts for other C‑suite leaders. This longer‑term remit reflects the position’s strategic orientation and the group’s mandate within the broader business.
