About The Role
Build a meaningful career at Baird as a trusted partner within our Private Wealth Management Human Resources team. In this role, you will serve as a strategic liaison to PWM leaders, helping shape and execute the people strategy that supports our advisors, associates, and business goals across the country.
As a PWM Human Resources Consultant, you will be a key relationship manager and problem solver, championing talent, while providing guidance on associate relations, organizational effectiveness, and development initiatives while fostering a culture that reflects Baird’s values.
The Impact You’ll Make
- Counsel and advise leaders and associates on associate relations matters, ensuring consistent and equitable processes and practices.
- Interpret and apply HR policies, procedures, and programs to deliver solutions that balance business needs and associate experience.
- Lead and/or contribute to PWM talent and HR initiatives, including leadership and associate development, organizational design, succession and talent planning, performance management, compensation, and associate engagement.
- Partner with branch and department leaders through regular meetings to discuss talent strategy, workforce planning, and HR initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR Benefits and other partners on leave requests and accommodations under FMLA, ADA, and applicable state laws.
- Monitor trends in employment practices and the professional services industry, evaluating relevance and applicability to PWM.
What You’ll Bring To Baird
- 7+ years of human resources experience, including at least 4 years focused on associate relations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience will also be considered.
- Experience supporting leaders in a professional services or similarly complex environment.
- Strong understanding of associate relations practices and employment law principles.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel to assigned branches approximately once per month.
- Experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms, preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and build trusted relationships across levels and functions, preferred.
- High degree of adaptability, collaboration, and commitment to client service excellence, preferred.
