The Opportunity
The Distribution Operations team supports the firm’s capital raising and investor coverage efforts by providing accurate data, reporting, and process support that enables the Client Partnership Group to operate efficiently. The team partners closely with sales, marketing, and leadership to maintain CRM and reporting systems, deliver pipeline and performance insights, and improve distribution workflows. The team ensures clear visibility into sales activity and supports informed, data-driven decision-making.
Primary Responsibilities
This role supports the day-to-day analysis and execution of sales distribution operations. This role focuses on data accuracy, reporting, and process support across sales channels and distribution partners. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, eager to learn, and interested in building a career in sales operations or business analytics.
Key Areas Of Focus
- Support analysis of sales distribution by gathering and organizing data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency for analysis.
- Assist with maintaining standard sales distribution reports, pipeline tracking, and performance reporting.
- Monitor data accuracy across CRM, databases, and other reporting systems; flag inconsistencies or errors for resolution.
- Assist with tracking and organizing budgets and expenses related to sales distribution activities.
- Support system updates, testing, and data validation for sales operations tools.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and other departments to support sales initiatives and ensure alignment.
- Identify challenges within sales processes and propose solutions to improve efficiency.
- Respond to basic ad hoc reporting and analytical requests from sales leadership and cross-functional partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, analytics, or a related field (or in progress).
- 1–2 years of experience in sales operations, business analysis, operations, or internships with analytical responsibilities.
- Proficiency data manipulation and visualization
- Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, lookups, pivot tables)
- PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Backstop, Salesforce) is an advantage.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and curiosity for improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high performance and team-oriented environment.
