Position Summary
TCW has an exciting opportunity to join our operations team as a Cash Control Specialist. You will be part of a team that is challenged each day to develop new and innovative ways of achieving specific goals while providing superior service under tight deadlines. The Cash Control Specialist will have the opportunity to interact with various internal and external teams, including portfolio management and client service, and tasked with managing information that is critical to the investment process. Successful incumbent will gain increasing responsibilities in performing a variety of cash management and operations functions and have the opportunity for advancement overtime.
Essential Duties
- Provide operational support to the trading desk and account management as it relates to cash management.
- Interact with various external partners, including clients, custodian banks, and transfer agents.
- Effectively manage and report all cash inflows and outflows to the firm’s various mutual funds and separate accounts.
- Provide operational support for non-dollar currency flows and balances.
- Overdraft management – identify and report all overdrafts to the trading desk for immediate resolution.
- Identify and resolve all cash balance exceptions with custodian banks and transfer agents.
- Transition events – Assist account management with the opening/closing account process and work across operations groups to ensure all information is updated in a timely manner and issues identified and escalated accordingly.
- Participate in various projects including process enhancements and system development.
- Maintain and update procedures.
- Comply with legal/compliance and procedural guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or similar field
- Basic understanding of finance concepts
- Proficiency in MS Excel

Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience within Investment Operations, preferably in Cash Management but not required, or within portfolio reconciliation.
- Demonstrated academic achievement.
Estimated Compensation:
Base Salary: For CA based position, the base salary range is 70-80K. This is an anticipated range only.
Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
