The Role
Sixth Street is seeking a talented portfolio management Associate whose primary focus will be covering a portfolio of existing investments, largely focused on middle market corporate loans. The candidate will be responsible for the ongoing monitoring of the credit investment and will be expected to present to the investment committee on a quarterly basis regarding financial performance, key business trends, and near-term watchouts. This is an opportunity to be a member of a growing team supporting a disciplined asset management business within a best-in-class opportunistic investing platform. This position is based in Austin.
Core Responsibilities
- Management of individual assets within the SLX portfolio with a focus on loan asset management and dispositions
- Perform financial analysis to identify key trends and near-term watchouts and maintain ongoing dialogue with key stakeholders at the portfolio companies (typically CFO)
- Drive preparation of monthly updates, quarterly portfolio reviews, valuation materials, and other ad- hoc internal reporting requests
- Work together with the underwriting team on potential refinancing, upsize, or other amendment opportunities at the asset or company level
- Interact with SLX management and other Sixth Street platforms on a quarterly basis to review ongoing performance, key business trends and near-term watchouts and be comfortable making recommendations based on various analysis

Preferred
- 2+ years of professional experience
- Prior experience working for a valuation firm, accounting firm, or in junior credit role at a private credit firm or bank
- Knowledge and experience with credit agreements and related documentation is preferred, not required
- Experience in performing asset management for middle market loans is preferred, not required
- Expert or in-depth knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
