The Role
As an Operations Vice President, you will be a part of the Sixth Street Global Operations Team that is responsible for investment execution support, transaction life cycle management, trade settlement and cash management functions. The team supports Sixth Street’s investing activities across the globe for our private credit/equity, asset-based financing, structured credit, hybrid, and liquid credit funds, business development companies, and separately managed accounts. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to be an integral part of a growing team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment.
Core Responsibilities - Manage a team that focuses on trade execution support, transaction lifecycle management, trade settlement, and cash management functions for our liquid investing platforms, including Credit Market Strategies, Fundamental Strategies and TAO Equity Strategies
- Responsibilities include:
- Investment pipeline and cash management
- Securities (e.g. equities, bonds, CLOs, ABS, etc.), bank loans, and other liquid trade settlements
- Corporate actions and amendment voting, including restructures
- Facilitating operational activities surrounding exits and restructurings
- Foreign exchange, interest rate swap, and other derivative hedging activities
- Bank account management
- Counterparty and Vendor oversight
- Trade execution booking review and checkout
- Coordination with counterparties and external partners
- Partner with portfolio managers, investing professionals, traders, fund administrators, outside and internal counsel, tax, engineering, accounting and compliance professionals ensuring good cross-functional communication and coordination throughout transaction lifecycles
- Oversee, implement and monitor best in class operational controls and protocols
- Ensure appropriate liquidity is available for new investments
- Ensure trading and cash and settlement controls and protocols are adhered to
- Perform the timely and accurate setup of new investments to the order management, accounting, and reporting systems
- Identify and implement operational efficiencies through process reengineering or technological solutions
- Manage ISDA compliance, including key terms documentation and margin tracking
- Aid in operational readiness support design builds for new products traded
- Participate and lead a wide variety of special projects, both operational and financial

Preferred
- 15+ years of relevant Operations experience
- Expert understanding of loans and securities trade support functions
- Knowledge of LSTA, LMA, and general trading principals
- Familiarity with ISDAs and derivative products such as foreign exchange instruments and interest rate swaps
- Strong understanding and application of internal controls, and industry practices, building policies and procedures, while demonstrating ability to identify and implement process improvement
- Experience at an investment bank or buy-side organization that invests in various liquid traded products – those seen at an alternative asset management firm, hedge fund or investment bank
- Prior experience managing and developing a growing team
- Experience with Black Mountain Systems, Allvue, Advent Geneva and/or Eze Castle a plus
