Position Summary
Guggenheim Investments is hiring for an Associate to join the Loan Data Integrity team in New York. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of bank debt and fixed income securities. In this role one coordinates the loan security master setup and maintenance, completes recurring and ad hoc data analysis, and private rating/credit estimate coordination.
Closely interact across the firm with traders, credit analysts, and legal team members as well as external data vendors. This role is part of a dynamic team environment and presents opportunities to apply one’s problem-solving skills in support of Loan Data Integrity objectives and initiatives.
The position is located in the New York office.
Essential Job Functions
- Ensure data quality and accuracy across all systems and a timely delivery of required data, internally and externally
- Maintain accurate bank loan security master data across Wall Street Office and BlackRock Aladdin
- Review restructured securities in systems and communicate to necessary parties
- Participate in the on-boarding processes and ensure that all new assets are built and accurate
- Track, calculate and provide high yield and bank loan defaults/recovery analysis
- Maintain credit estimates/private rating letters through coordination with CLO team, trade desk, analysts and rating agencies
- Communicate current or anticipated issues to manager and necessary parties
- Ensure operational processes meet standards established by internal and external auditors, including SOC1 procedures
- Collaborate with IT and Markit WSO to create reports that increase operational efficiency and address data point breaks between systems
- Help with processes and procedures to ensure a scalable operational infrastructure to accommodate strategic growth targets
- Generate reports to support internal/external market participants
Preferred Qualifications
- Organized, detail oriented and extremely thorough with strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external clients, and service providers
- Knowledge of CLOs and/or other structured products
- Knowledge of Wall Street Office, Aladdin, Excel, and Bloomberg
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ year of bank loan related experience in financial services is required
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced and challenging environment
- Microsoft Excel high proficiency required
- Bachelor’s degree
Salary Details
Annual base salary between $95,000 and $100,000.
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
Currently, this role is expected to be in the New York office at least 4 days per week.
