PitchBook’s Group Product Manager, Public Equity acts as a subject matter expert and defines the vision, strategy, and roadmap for PitchBook’s public equity capabilities. This role champions the needs of our customers, pain points, and business opportunities across the organization. They also serve as a leader to Product Managers in their product area, growing the team’s skillsets and developing the organizational structure needed for success. This role collaborates extensively with multiple departments, including our Institutional Research group, Data Operations, and other Morningstar business units. This product leader will ruthlessly prioritize development efforts to drive both growth in our public equity data set and customer base.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Own the public equity product vision and strategy while collaborating closely with the leadership team to align groups toward that vision
- Recruit, nurture, and scale a focused and high-performing team of product managers to drive public equity engagement and create intuitive product experiences that delight our users
- Own and drive the public equity product roadmaps at a product domain level while identifying and aligning teams to tackle new opportunities
- Lead a team through product discovery, experimentation, usability testing, and the launch of innovative product improvements
- Ensure teams have defined product roadmaps, prioritized the backlog, and are creating business cases to outline new strategic product opportunities
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to execute your product roadmaps
- Establish clear project goals and aggressively measure and assess your business impact while prioritizing additional opportunities for success
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
- 8+ years of product management experience within SaaS, enterprise, or cloud-based solutions
- 3+ years of experience mentoring and/or managing other product managers
- Experience in public equity data management or similar financial markets exposure
- Chartered Financial Analyst preferred
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence and build consensus across all disciplines and levels of a business
- Strong bias for action. Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals
- Ability to leverage analytics and data to drive product decision making
- Passionate about or have experience in FinTech, public equity, private equity, venture, and/or M&A preferred

Compensation
- Annual base salary: $185,000-$240,000
- Target annual bonus percentage: 20%
- Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.
Working Conditions:
We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.
The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
