Position Summary
The IT Governance and Process Improvement team is tasked with implementing and leading an IT Portfolio governance framework across all of Technology. This includes setting the framework and prioritization for the IT Driven Portfolio, working with the IT Leaders to facilitate project funding decisions, prioritize initiatives, lead investment concepts, and help optimize the overall IT portfolio. The team is also charged with the governance of the Sustain the Business (SBA) portfolio, working closely with the IT leads across the organization to monitor financials, create a catalog of SBA activities and enhanced governance. The team works in close partnership with the New Initiative Office (NIO) and the IT Financial Management teams.
The IT Governance and Process Improvement Analyst role is responsible for closely monitoring the SBA portfolio financials, building comprehensive reports, and partnering with the SBA IT Delivery Leads and Application Support Leads across the organization. Interaction with the various teams is critical to ensure a comprehensive review of the portfolio and track trends. This role will work closely with the IT Governance and Process Improvement Lead in building out the SBA Catalog of activities and providing the framework for enhanced governance. This will require a cadence of review and engagement with the IT Delivery Leads and Application Support Leads to build out the framework and then to execute on the enhanced governance.
The role also manages the Confidence Rating process as it relates to the Business Cases. This requires monitoring the intake of new Business Cases, collaboration with the IT teams responsible for completing the template, review and revisions. This activity partners closely with the NIO team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build comprehensive dashboards and Power BI Reports displaying financial trends for the SBA portfolio
- Apply analytical skills for modeling and identifying forecast trends. Present analysis clearly to management to help drive decisions
- Translating multiple data elements (both financial and IT-orientated) into a tangible product which can drive insights and decision making
- Build effective working relationships with IT Delivery Leads, Application Support Leads, NIO and the IT Finance teams
- Build effective working relationships within the TIS organization and aide in creating synergies across the teams
- Role is not limited to the responsibilities highlighted above
Qualifications & Skills
- 8 years minimum of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Proficient skills in EXCEL with a strong working knowledge of Power BI
- Knowledge of IT Financial Management, specifically related to project financials
- Ability to easily navigate large data sets, and be able to identify trends, issues, and opportunity areas quickly and efficiently
- Data analysis and problem-solving skills as well as strong organizational and data management skills
- Agile Mindset: ability to multi-task and attention to detail is a must
- Work collaboratively by building consensus and influencing decision making to foster forward progress with projects
