Company: Global Investment Management firm with over $70B of AUM across traditional and alternative investments
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and modifying the Alternative Assets strategy across Private Equity with a focus on Credit (private credit, secondary's,, tax credit funds, CLO equity and co-investments)
- Source, evaluate, and execute alternative asset investment opportunities with a focus on risk/return, diversification, and capital/tax efficiency.
- Conduct thorough manager due diligence in collaboration with various teams within the organization.
- Develop and maintain relationships with sourcing partners.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams on documentation and regulatory matters.
- Present well-supported investment ideas to the Alternatives team, backed by a robust investment thesis.
- Stay informed on emerging trends in alternative asset management and conduct ad-hoc research as required.
- Participate in Advisory Boards and industry conferences for ongoing reporting and surveillance of investments and external managers.
- Monitor and analyze investment holdings, improving processes for quantifying and reporting results.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (CFA or MBA) preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in alternative asset management, Private Equity and or Private Credit
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of legal and compliance requirements in investment management.
- Proficient in financial modeling and reporting tools.
