Are you a leader in innovation? Do you know how to come up with creative ideas for clients?
We’re looking for someone like that who can:
- lead all phases of the deal process including due diligence, financial modelling, drafting internal credit memos, rating agency and investor presentations
- assess and analyze credit risk as the 1st line of defense and present recommendations to the credit committee
- lead client negotiations, Q&A process and management interviews
- support syndication efforts of credit transactions to market
- working with internal partners in credit risk control in assessing risk positions
- reviewing and managing junior workstreams across the deal cycle from origination/initial pitch through to marketing/execution of the opportunity
- support efforts of senior investment bankers in the origination of opportunities across the Corporate and Private Equity landscape
- liaising with other internal and external parties on transactions (eg. lawyers, accountants, counterparties)
- manage and support the development of junior investment bankers

Your team
We are seeking a Director (VP) to work in our Leveraged Finance team in New York. Our team is responsible for originating, underwriting and syndicating debt transactions for corporate and sponsor clients. You’ll play an important role in advising clients on a range of market and strategic matters, including assessment of capital structure alternatives and financing options.
LBO, Acquisition and Opportunistic Financings: structure, underwrite and arrange financings to support a variety of uses including LBO, acquisition and opportunistic financings
Special Situations: financing solutions for bespoke and “off the run” situational lending
Debt Advisory & Restructuring: liability management on complex exchange offers and amendment transactions
Client Coverage: day-to-day client relationship coverage supporting senior bankers in the origination of opportunities across the Corporate and Private Equity landscape

Your expertise
- good understanding and hands-on exposure to assessing credit risk
- ideally you have experience working within credit risk control or leverage finance in investment banking
- bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- solid financial analysis skills, with the ability to produce accurate presentation material quickly
- ability to partner with other groups across the bank
