Audax Private Debt has partnered with leading private equity firms to help finance their purchase of middle market companies. We provide senior loans, unitranche loans and junior capital in addition to equity co-investments. We source opportunities directly from financial sponsors throughout North America, investing in leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings and debt recapitalizations.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for supporting the firm’s capital markets and syndication efforts across
unitranche, junior debt, and equity co-investments. This team member will work in tandem with the head of capital markets and across deal teams on all aspects of capital markets, including the existing portfolio and new deal activity. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a highly collaborative team and provide strategic perspective that will directly impact Audax Private Debt’s transactions and investment strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As it relates to capital markets activities:
- Support syndication and sell-down process by coordinating with deal teams on diligence and other
- internal groups (i.e. legal, operations, finance, etc.)
- Monitor and track co-investor and syndication partner relationships
- Track comparable debt and equity transactions through market intelligence
- Drive analysis of companies, transaction structures, and deal activity
- Participate in investment committee meetings by working with the head of capital markets to
- deliver critical business insights and advise on syndication activity
- Execute capital markets projects and other portfolio related initiatives
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 5 years of private credit/private debt/direct lending/private equity experience
- Prior experience within capital markets functions and/or in an underwriting role is preferred
- Previous deal execution experience including senior, Unitranche, and junior capital financings,
- legal documentation, structuring and pricing
- Proficiency in Excel modeling and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, communicate
- clearly and make informed decisions and recommendations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal); ability to build
- relationships, work collaboratively, and convey complex information effectively
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic with proven ability to work well under pressure, be resourceful, and manage
- competing priorities effectively
LOCATION: New York, New York. 4 days/week in office. These in office requirements may change
based on the needs of the business.
For New York City only: The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000. The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and Audax reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance.
