Dodge & Cox is seeking an experienced tax professional to join the Corporate Treasury team. The primary duties of this role include supporting tax manager with annual tax compliance process, tax research, tax audits, business registrations and other reporting. This position will have a potential to learn and grow in a broad range of taxation, including federal, state, international, transfer pricing, and other tax matters.
The Tax Analyst will report directly to the Dodge & Cox Tax Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare supporting computations and review federal and state income tax returns and estimated tax payment computations
Prepare and file various state gross receipts returns
Research and resolve income tax issues
Review (or prepare and file) various VAT returns for China, Germany and UK
Prepare quarterly and annual tax provision computations for stand-alone and consolidated companies
Assist with annual global transfer pricing documentation process
Prepare annual business property reports
Respond to information requests from various tax authorities
Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules for GAAP and tax reporting
Qualifications
Dodge & Cox targets candidates with high levels of academic and professional achievement and leadership ability.
Four year college degree, CPA or working towards a CPA is a plus
3 to 5 years of tax compliance or consulting experience
Preference for a candidate with tax experience within financial services industry
Good analytical skills, and ability to research and interpret federal and state income tax laws
Knowledge of and experience working with multi-state pass-through entities strongly preferred
Experience with specialized tax research database applications and Microsoft Excel
Highly organized and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, strong attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment, and independently when needed
Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management and communication skills
Requirements:
Dodge & Cox has a 3/2 hybrid work model, and all Dodge & Cox employees are required to be in their assigned office as noted in the job posting Tuesday - Thursday each week, with the option to work remotely on Monday and Friday.
The salary range for this position is $130k - $170k.
The listed pay scale denotes only the pay range of the base salary and does not include discretionary bonus compensation, which may make up an important portion of the total remuneration.
