Dodge and Cox is seeking an experienced, highly skilled Client Relationship Associate to join our firm. The successful candidate will play an important role in Dodge & Cox’s broader client service effort by supporting our Client Service team in responding to investor inquiries in a timely, thorough and accurate manner. This individual is expected to become an expert on each of the firm’s investment strategies and vehicles, as well as all of the firm’s external reporting and communications materials and practices.
The Client Relationship Associate is expected to have a detailed understanding of the firm’s business objectives and client, intermediary and consultant relationships. In addition, this person is expected to quarterback responses to client, intermediary, and consultant requests for information and to coordinate the development of responses to non-standard information requests in a consistent and timely manner, consistent with the firm’s policies and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Coordinating responses to one-off client, intermediary, and consultant requests.
- Acting as a secondary point of contact for strategic relationships.
- Collaborating with the teams who are experts on specific business segments to build an in- depth knowledge base of our different client types. In particular, this individual will partner closely with the Wealth Management team to support their initiatives.
- Maintaining information in our client relationship management software. This individual will be a subject matter expert on all aspects of client, intermediary, and consultant data contained in the software.
- Backing up other associates within Client Service on key aspects of their roles. This includes tracking and internal reporting on the firm’s new business pipeline, and oversight of the processes to maintain mutual fund client data in our client relationship management software.
Qualifications
- Dodge & Cox targets candidates with successful professional careers and demonstrated leadership ability
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment, but also a self-starter who can work independently
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and computer skills including PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong understanding of public equity and fixed income investment strategies
- 3 years of experience in financial services preferred
- Tableau experience preferred
- CFA or desire to obtain CFA preferred
- Four year college degree (B.A. or B.S.)
The salary range for this position is $110k - $135k.
The listed pay scale denotes only the pay range of the base salary and does not include discretionary bonus compensation, which may make up an important portion of the total remuneration.
