Position Summary
The Business Development Lead will play a pivotal role in driving Arcesium’s growth by identifying, securing, and managing strategic partnerships with leading private market investors including firms investing heavily in private credit. This role demands a strategic thinker with deep industry knowledge, a robust network, and a proven track record in closing high-value deals.
Responsibilities
- Business Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term goals and positions Arcesium as a leader in the private market Investment technology space.
- Strategic Deal-Making: Identify and pursue opportunities to establish strategic partnerships with the world’s largest private market investors, focusing on deals that drive significant revenue and strategic value for Arcesium.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of trends in the private markets and Investment technology sectors to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities for partnership and innovation.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and manage relationships with key decision-makers at private equity firms, hedge funds, and other institutional investors, serving as the primary point of contact for all strategic discussions.
- Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead the end-to-end deal process, from initial contact through negotiation, contract drafting, and execution, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with company objectives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and legal, to ensure the seamless execution of strategic deals and integration of partner solutions.
- Thought Leadership: Represent Arcesium at industry conferences, events, and in public forums to enhance the company’s brand and thought leadership in the private markets sector.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or sales within the financial services industry, specifically focused on private markets or Investment Technology. A proven track record of closing large-scale, high-impact deals with private market investors.:
- Exceptional negotiation and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong relationship management and networking abilities.
- Deep understanding of the private markets ecosystem, including key players, trends, and challenges.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess the financial and strategic impact of potential deals.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred but not mandatory.
The expected annual base salary for this position is $200,000 - $250,000. Our compensation package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, and 401k contribution matching.
The applicable annual base salary paid to a successful applicant will be determined based on multiple factors including without limitation the nature and extent of prior experience and educational background.
