Vice President, USWA SMA and Options Marketer

BlackRock SMA Solutions manages over $208B, making it one of the largest SMA managers in the world. USWA Product Marketing serves the US Wealth Advisory market, helping advisors, RIAs, and wirehouses tap into the personalization and tax-efficiency of separately managed accounts (SMAs) delivered by our experienced team of professionals.
Job Purpose
The USWA Product Marketing team is seeking a mission-oriented teammate excited to expand our holistic SMA marketing strategy and messaging, with some technical understanding of option overlay strategies for content development. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing and managing marketing strategies, exceptional content writing skills, and understanding of the financial advisor audience, and displays an understanding of fixed income, equities, options, and SMAs, as well as know how to manage a project with varying stakeholders from inception to completion. As the Vice President, USWA SMAs and Options Marketer, you will play a crucial role in building and commercializing our marketing strategy of our new and existing capabilities, reporting to the Head of Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) and Models Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage our SMA marketing strategy and collateral to aid our commercial focus on our SMA solutions
- Bridge the gap between asset classes and wrappers to tell new narratives that can help the financial advisor audience attract and retain high-net-worth clients
- Partner with digital marketing, sales, product, and compliance to prioritize and execute on content
- Prioritize and work with key stakeholders to drive messaging from inception to completion, as well as insure that KPIs are in alignment with broader firm goals

- Able to take complex ideas and simplify them for the right audience
- Strategic thinker able to lead initiatives across functions (Product, Digital, Sales)
- Relationship builder with experience operating in a highly matrixed environment
Qualities We Look For
- BS/BA degree in finance, marketing or economics preferable
- 5-7 years of marketing experience in financial services
- Some subject matter expertise with Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) and/or options
- Expertise in content creation, design and a creative mindset
- Strength in writing and communication -- we want Marketers who make the complex simple, who can relate concepts with visuals and a minimum number of words
- A strong interest in investing and willingness to learn more in this area
- Strong project management skills and proven effectiveness at strategic relationship building across internal and external stakeholders – we seek a team player with strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Pro-active, self-starter with ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple projects across multiple stakeholders simultaneously, in a deadline-driven environment
- We seek someone who sweats the small stuff and has meticulous attention to the last 5% of the details
- Strong experience in PowerPoint is a must and working knowledge of Excel
For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $173,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
