Job Title: BXMA Multi-Strategy Platform - Risk Management Professional, Vice President
Job Description:
MSP’s risk team is responsible for generating performance, attribution, and risk analytics across BXMA’s businesses, maintaining compliance with internal, client and regulatory requirements, helping to monitor hedging, FX and liquidity risks and counterparty exposures across the business, and assisting in the investment risk due diligence and ongoing monitoring of investments.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Helping to oversee risk due diligence on various investment portfolios including modeling and data analysis, creation and maintenance of due diligence reports.
Developing and implementing processes to ensure compliance with internal, external client and regulatory requirements.
Developing and implementing processes to measure and monitor hedging, FX and liquidity risks, and counterparty exposures.
Performing ad-hoc analyses around select exposures and potential risks to investment performance and business continuity.
Assisting in the design, implementation and application of quantitative analytics to perform risk oversight roles across MSP’s investment strategies.
Collaboration across other BXMA groups, including Investment teams, Operations, Treasury and Legal, is critical.
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate must have:
6+ years of experience in risk management capacity, preferably in multi-strategy setting
Solid understanding of capital markets, securities/OTC instruments, financing structures, and typical trading strategies used by hedge funds (preferably across all asset classes such as equities, fixed income, credit, currencies, and commodities)
Ability to make existing risk management workflows and processes more efficient, and to implement quality controls
Strong quantitative, analytical and programming skills including Python (C++ is a plus) and extensive experience working with macro and asset class specific market data.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in order to conduct on-site meetings with internal and external portfolio managers, and write and maintain risk analysis documents in a timely fashion.
Ability to mentor analysts and associates
Ability to lead the planning and execution of ad-hoc projects, with minimal oversight, and deliver process results and/or a clear conclusion

Expected annual base salary range:
$180,000 - $225,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
