Assistant Portfolio Manager, Leveraged Finance - LA

The role will be based in LA with the expectation of a hybrid work model.
PineBridge Investments is seeking a Assistant Portfolio Manager to support portfolio managers in the optimization and management of CLO portfolios, ensuring compliance, performing cash flow modeling, and overseeing fund administration. The role involves reviewing and signing off on CLO trustee reports, assisting with deal modeling and structuring, and making trade recommendations. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of direct experience with collateralized loan obligations or broadly syndicated loans, strong proficiency in CLO documentation, and expertise in platforms such as Intex, Moody's Analytics, and Bloomberg. This position requires a detail-oriented, self-driven individual with strong communication and organizational skills, capable of working both independently and within a team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist portfolio managers with portfolio management, optimization and analysis
- Review and signoff CLO trustee reports, waterfalls and CLO investor letters
- Monitor CLO fund compliance
- Assist with new deal modeling, structuring, and document negotiations
- Interpret CLO indentures and advise portfolio managers
- Oversee/monitor CLO warehouses and fund setup with internal and external parties
- Support development and updates of marketing materials
- Perform waterfall attribution, variance analysis and projections
- Assist with post-investment period portfolio management and compliance
- Make trade recommendations
- Perform cash flow modeling and other performance analysis
- Monitor the accuracy of fund administration by the Trustee and Operations team
- Run hypo trades and perform/oversee pre-trade compliance analysis
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform attribution analysis
- Handle ad-hoc and routine investor requests
- Build new models/tools as needed
- Assist in preparing responses for DDQ and RFP requests
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for investors
- Coordinate with Operations in CLO Administration
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of direct experience with collateralized loan obligations and/or broadly syndicated loans
- Strong proficiency in CLO and BSL documentation (Indenture, Offering Memo, Credit Agreement, etc.)
- Direct experience using or proficient in some of the following platforms: Intex, Moody’s Analytics, SentryPM, CDO Suite, Wall Street Office, Bloomberg, MS Excel (including VBA)
- Familiar with loan restructures/amendments and resulting instruments (Bonds, Warrants, Equity, etc.)
- Self-driven and ability to learn quickly
- Strong communication, organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

*Salary Range: $ $130K-$145K annually + bonus + benefits
