The Role
The Investor Operations team oversees investor and distribution syndicate onboarding (Institutional / Retail investors along with Wirehouse Relationships); operational components of product launches; capital raise reporting; capital activity and communications, e.g. capital calls, dividend payments, tenders; shadow tracking and calculations of all investor and capital activities; investor performance reporting; tracking of all broker dealer economics/commissions; ad-hoc questions from internal sales team and investors; and oversight of related service providers.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional client service by handling inquiries in a timely manner and being extremely thorough.
Be a contributing teammate to the Investor Services team tasked with managing a high volume of investor, financial advisor and internal requests, through a shared email inbox and phone line.
Prepare internal teams on the operational requirements for capital events & nuanced investor-reporting.
Assist in developing user guides for technology applications for both internal and external parties.
Identify patterns in client inquiries to develop proactive solutions that address common concerns.
Review and coordinate account maintenance requests between investors & third-party administrators.
Conduct outreach for expiring tax forms and track responses.
Leverage technology to maintain a comprehensive library for repeatable responses.
Work with internal Blue Owl departments that manage the external client facing websites to ensure investor servicing details and documents are updated as needed.
Liaise with internal Blue Owl teams to research complex requests from investors.
Build and maintain effective, mutually beneficial working relationships with custodians, transfer agents, key Wirehouse / broker dealer home offices, and third-party vendors.
Qualifications:
4-6 years of investor servicing experience in the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of industry standards and practices.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Accountable and reliable.
Strong and effective communicator, both verbal and written.
Self-motivated and proactive individual with the ability to work independently and within a team environment and take initiative on projects with minimal supervision.
Experience managing, tracking and prioritizing a high volume of inbound investor and financial advisor inquiries.
Strong Organizational skills a must, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Focus on MS Excel & PowerPoint).
Familiarity with Loopio, LoopUp/ComputerTalk, SalesForce, iCapital & CAIS platforms a plus.
BDC, Real Estate, Limited Partnerships, Exchange Fund & Interval Fund experience a plus.
Experience working with Transfers Agents, Clearing Firms & Fund Administrators in the Alternatives space (DST Systems, DTCC, NSCC, SEI, State Street, Computershare, etc.)
