Broadridge is hiring! We are seeking an Associate Production Equipment Technician to join our team! We are looking for someone to perform machine hardware adjustments, minor corrective repairs, and preventative maintenance on designated production equipment to ensure maximum availability and reliability. We need an individual to learn the skills required to resolve and prevent equipment downtime and know when to raise the issue to enlist the expertise of senior-level technicians or management to aid in the problem resolution process. Responsibilities:
- Monitors the hourly efficiency of the inserting or bindery machines ensuring that they are running at optimum capacity.
- Clean equipment, tools, maintenance shop, and general work area to ensure a productive work environment. Effectively track parts usage and maintain an accurate spare parts inventory. Order replacements when stock levels fall below the suggested level.
- Performs minor equipment repairs such as changing/adjusting belts, replacing worn feeding/separating rollers, and maintenance as required on designated insertion and production equipment. Reads and learns effectively use technical service bulletins and manuals to resolve equipment issues, develop their technical skills, and know when to raise problems to enlist the expertise of vendors, contractors, subject matter experts, or management to aid in problem-solving.
- Requires the direct supervision of a production Technician or above when working inside any safety cover for more complicated/major repairs. Ensures that all spare part inventory processes and procedures are followed.
- Appropriately logs all support calls into the technician tracking system (e.g., FIIX) to ensure all work time and parts are appropriately accounted for.
- Contributes to a positive quality of work-life and fosters team spirit and morale.
- Assists operators with machine setup, clearing jams, camera adjustments, and other equipment-related issues.
- Checks the quality of material processed on production equipment to ensure it meets Broadridge and client standards (for example, envelopes are accurately sealed and are not torn, bent, or otherwise damaged by the insertion equipment, the accurate materials/pages are inserted into each envelope, etc.).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years’ experience within a production environment with resultant knowledge of machine repair. Proven proficiency in the operation and repair of machines is necessary.
- Good oral and written communication skills are required. Ability to take direction and to work effectively under time constraints is necessary.
- Ability to work while standing throughout the duration of assigned shift.
- Ability to lift, carry and move 25+lbs. throughout the duration of the assigned shift.
Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $23 - 24 per hour. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
