The Colony Group seeks a motivated
and qualified individual for the position of Director, Research Analyst. The
individual selected for this opportunity will be distinguished in academic
achievement and have the highest ethical and professional standards of
excellence.
Primary responsibilities for
this position include:
- Source
and perform due diligence on investment managers across private and public
asset classes.
- Research emerging
areas of investment opportunity as well as initiatives that will inform
our investment thinking and client communications.
- Construct formal
qualitative and quantitative manager analysis reports.
- Compile, calculate and analyze data from various
sources.
- Maintain a proprietary
database of investment managers and strategies.
- Effectively
communicate one’s analysis to the team verbally and in writing.
- Prepare materials
to support education and marketing efforts.
Qualifications:
- A
bachelor’s degree is required, in addition a CFA and/or MBA is a plus.
- At
least 5 + years of relevant manager research experience.
- Experience
sourcing and utilizing a network of diverse managers is a plus.
- Commitment,
energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for investments.
- Knowledge of qualitative
and quantitative investment concepts.
- Strong
communication skills, both verbal & written.
- Exceptional
organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High proficiency
in Microsoft Office suite; experience/expertise in coding is a plus.
- Ability to
contribute to a collegial, supportive, and respectful atmosphere.
