About The Role
The senior accountant will be located in New York and will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and month-end/quarter-end close activities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
This role is key to providing accurate and timely financial information used to support both internal decision making and external constituents. The ideal candidate will have strong foundational accounting knowledge, the ability and willingness to engage in complex analysis, and aspirations to further develop a career in accounting. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in traditional controllership functions including the month-end and year-end close process.
- Review/prepare/post monthly recurring or adjusting journal entries
- Analyze and prepare account variances to trailing actuals/forecast
- Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and quarterly roll forward analytics as assigned
- Prepares consolidated financial statements of the Company while analyzing sub-ledgers for understanding of business activity while ensuring adherence to US GAAP.
- Responsible for presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results and KPIs to the Controller and Chief Accounting Officer (CAO).
- Assistance with the annual external audit, including preparation of audit workpapers, financial disclosures, and communications with the auditors on sampled items.
- Assist to enhance global technical accounting policies and procedures. Assist to create or revise accounting processes in the areas of accounts payable, financial reporting, etc. while looking to create efficiencies in workflows.
- Assist in preparation of technical accounting memorandums and help to institutionalize through the global firm.
Required
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar accounting role
- Public accounting experience
- Bachelor’s in accounting and/or accounting degree (ACCA/ACA/similar)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong Excel skills and experience
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized with a ‘right first time’ approach to work
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work with global accounting team members located in both Dublin and New York.
- Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and meet critical business deadlines.
Preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Salesforce experience
- Oracle experience
- Financial Technology industry experience
Working Arrangements
This is a Hybrid position with weekly time in the office with the flexibility of working from home. Though travel may be required from time to time, it is not expected to be regular or frequent. The role holder will be expected to work whatever hours are necessary for the performance of this role (recognizing that it involves multiple jurisdictions/geographies including but not limited to EMEA, USA and APAC).

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and relevant certification.
New York Pay range
$95,000—$115,000 USD
