The Compensation role for Apollo Global Management will support Apollo’s Enterprise Solutions (ES) and Client & Product Solutions (CPS) businesses in all areas of compensation. This includes, but not limited to, strategy design, administration, execution and delivery of ad hoc compensation reporting needs related to ES & CPS. In addition, this role will work closely with the Principal, Compensation - ES & CPS in driving a successful year-end compensation process across all stakeholder groups. This role partners with members of the broader Human Capital team (Human Capital Business Partners, Benefits, HC Operations, Payroll and Budget & Forecast teams) as well as Legal & Compliance, Finance (Strategic Finance, Compensation Finance, Controllers and Carry & Co-Invest teams), as well as directly with business leaders across the firm. This position will report to the Principal, Compensation – ES & CPS.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Compensation team with compensation design, analysis and the implementation of new or revised compensation programs globally
Support the year-end annual compensation process including bonus pool analysis, benchmarking, assisting to ensure systems are updated and prepared for manager inputs, compensation statements for employees and enhancements of related year-end processes
Play an integral role in coordination with the CPS business to ensure compensation structures are aligned with firmwide capital raising objectives
Perform complex compensation analyses for presentation to firmwide Senior Leaders
Monitor labor market trends and continuously evaluate market competitiveness of ES & CPS compensation structures
Improve current state of function through automation where possible and enhances coordination with key stakeholders
Partner closely with business leaders and Human Capital Business Partners to support business strategies including complex analytics
Qualifications & Experience
2-4 years of experience – mix of compensation, strategy, and/or data analytics background
Experience in data handling, reporting and excellent knowledge of Excel, with macro building a plus
Experience in designing and administering compensation structures, processes, policies
Strong understanding of year-end compensation process
Ability to independently take on multiple tasks with high degree of attention to detail
Proactive “go-getter” that offers suggestions for improvement and actively pushes Compensation function forward in both efficiency and effectiveness
Superior communication and listening skillset, experience with senior leadership/stakeholders a plus
Candidate must have an analytical, logical thought process for developing solutions
Strong financial accounting acumen (e.g., GAAP) a plus
Understanding of carried interest and co-investment programs a plus
Pay Range
$110,000 – $130,000
The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
