Pathway Capital Management, LP, a leading institutional investment management firm that creates and manages specialized private markets solutions for institutional investors worldwide, is seeking an Investment Closing Specialist. This position is fully remote for Southern California residents.
This position reports to VP - Investment Closing.
SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
At the direction of the VP - Investment Closing, perform the following:
- Gather financial data from various sources and perform calculations to determine pro-rata amounts for investor financial allocations.
- Evaluate and detect variances between projected estimates and final funding memos and capital call notices issued by general partners and fund administrators.
- Examine and verify calculations related to secondary interest acquisitions.
- Coordinate with in-house attorneys and investment professionals to ensure timely funding and closing of investments.
- Coordinate with fund accounting staff to draw capital from investors by aligning contractual notification periods with funding due dates established by general partners.
- Coordinate with fund accounting staff to ensure proper accounting entries are reflected within the in-house database.
- Coordinate with operations and compliance staff to ensure wires are initiated and prepared for wire approvers.
- Coordinate with banking institutions to ensure outgoing wires are delivered at the timing established by general partners.
- Maintain and develop effective procedures.
- Other duties and special projects, as assigned.
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of Accounting Operations experience that includes:
- Being highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Proficient in using electronic databases.
- Willingness and ability to learn new computer skills and software.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to perform complex calculations accurately.
- Ability to interpret financial data.
- Collaboration with many departments, all levels of management, clients , and business partners.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Multitasking on duties with varying levels of priority, with the ability to establish appropriate priorities, work on multiple projects concurrently, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of client, investment and company information.
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or other business-related field.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- We offer a competitive salary and performance-based bonuses, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and retirement plans. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000, with overtime eligibility.
