In Vanguard's Client Experience & Digital (CXD) department, our goal is to evolve and enhance our clients’ digital experience. The CXD Data & Analytics team for Personal Investor drives strategic decision making & deepens the understanding of over 8M Vanguard’s customers.
We are looking for an Advanced Analytics Manager within the Secure Site Analytics team to lead a team of analysts. This role is responsible for a portfolio of labs that involve generating insights, experiments, and deep analysis to drive a strategic roadmap, and sharing insights with stakeholders and senior leaders across Personal Investor. The candidate will be working in lockstep with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Finance, UX, Analytics and matrixed functions across the Personal Investor business, to transform analytics insights into recommendations for new solutions that driven improve client investment outcomes for our investors.
What you will have as an Advanced Data Analytics Manager
- Knowledge of advanced analytics methods: Hands on expertise in data profiling, modeling to deliver a deep understanding of outcome drivers and curated insights/recommendations for next steps
- Ability to seamlessly translate business and technical dimensions: Coach and mentor analysts to identify business opportunities and breakdown complex business problems into analytics workstreams. Ensure that all work deliverables lead to enhanced enterprise and client outcomes.
- Ability to synthesize and communicate the analytics perspective to technical and non-technical senior leadership. Deliver clear and concise presentations to showcase the value of analytics in solving through complex CX challenges.
- Expert stakeholder management skills – actively build and deliver the analytics roadmap, OKRs. Experience in collaborating through a matrixed organization for delivery

Core Responsibilities
- Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Oversees a team of data analysts as they work with key stakeholders to understand business strategy, questions and goals. Brings structure to business requests, translates requirements into analytical project approaches, and directs the successful completion of a portfolio of strategic data projects.
- Leads team of analysts as they deliver presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for business partners to implement. Provides expert consulting to create recommendations that incorporate an understanding of both the business unit's operational goals and the analytics skills, tools, data and processes to achieve them.
- Collects, analyzes, and communicates statistics related to daily business operations. Uses findings to develop processes, procedures, and workflows to improve operational effectiveness.
- Develops and maintains strong internal and external relationships in order to manage cross-departmental and cross-divisional data projects and coordinates the resolution of operational problems and issues.
- Assists in developing short and long-term initiatives for department to align with business strategies. Participates in business planning activities and development of budgets to determine feasibility and resource needs.
- Supports team's continuous development to advance their technical skillsets, and to stay informed of industry innovations in analytics and tools.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years related work experience.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
