Job Description
Equity Swap quants use their engineering and mathematical background to implement quantitative and technical solutions equity swap and futures/index trading models, custom baskets and factor analysis/risk exposure analysis in client portfolios. They also develop and implement models for securities finance which involves collateral financing and inventory management. They are highly analytical, communicate with precision and clarity, partner with trading team to own and drive commercial outcomes. Alongside the trading team and technology teams, they focus on developing quantitative models & scalable architecture to implement models.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain factor analytics, custom basket creation engines
- Develop, implement, and maintain pre-trade quantitative optimization models for funding -liquidity risk/tenor mismatch optimizations. Including any post trade collateral management optimizations
- Develop and maintain tools for Index/ETF data, Custom Baskets, Futures and Revcons trading, forward funding rate projections
- Develop analytics to provide insight into P&L, Risk Factors across Equity swaps and Securities Finance business
- Develop analytics to provide insight into hedge fund client flows, client profitability, trends and financial resource (Balance sheet, Capital, Funding) consumption
- Communicate clearly complex mathematical concepts with internal and external stakeholders such as senior management and regulators.
Qualifications
- Strong quantitative skills with an advanced degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or other highly quantitative discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using math, statistics, and programming
- Strong programming skills and experience with python or other scripted language.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to explain complex quantitative concepts to a non-technical audience
- Experience working in a quant hedge fund or Equity Swaps/Prime Brokerage business is a plus
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $175,000 - $250,000.
The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
