Job Description
We seek to hire an SVP level experienced business manager to focus on supporting the business growth in US Fixed Income.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Financial planning and business strategy process.
- Create meaningful analysis to aid management in strategic decisions.
- Develop and track business unit key performance indicators.
- Partner with Business Heads to develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success in the face of shifting demands.
- Work closely with colleagues across Jefferies including IT, Trading, Operations, Finance, Treasury, and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability.
- A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics.
- Manage a small team, with skills to manage a much larger virtual team.
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal and Risk to identify emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Build effective working relationships with business leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Intense focus on achieving both short- and long-term goals.
- Drive and execute an agenda in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist the management team in managing inventory, liquidity and capital.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience at a financial services firm
- Strong background in funding and financial analysis important
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong people skills
- Good executive presence
- Strong understanding of financials of a business including expenses, liquidity usage and equity capital calculations
- Good understanding of process flow and technology
- Strong product knowledge across FI, with particular strength in mortgages a plus
- Willingness to be hands-on and get into the detail where necessary
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $230,000 - $270,000.
The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
