Job Description
The position manages continuing education offerings, program sponsorships, and execution of events to support the firm’s strategic goals. Dimensional events are an integral part of both our internal training and personnel development, as well as our go-to market strategy for new business and client relationship development. A successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of corporate event planning, continuing education programs tailored for financial professionals, industry standard best practices for program management, and an understanding of learning management systems.
Responsibilities
Continuing Education
- Manage continuing education offerings to include credit issuance, sponsorships, registrations, archives, audits, and facilitator training.
- Act as subject matter expert for CE policies, program compliance, and industry standards with current sponsorships under CFP Board, NASBA, Investments & Wealth Institute, and other financial accreditation services.
- Perform ongoing research of common finance industry designations to determine if the firm would benefit from adding to current portfolio of CE sponsorships.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive program management strategy as it relates to event logistics and sponsorship compliance.
- Design and implement support SOPs for accreditation processes pertaining to live CE offerings.
- Follow detailed procedures and maintain a system of records to ensure accuracy in documentation of certificates of completion, surveys, participation data, presentation eligibility, and attendee feedback.
- Coordinate facilitators, deliverables, and administrative support for [sales] channel driven CE offerings.
- Act as a guest administrator for virtual CE courses.
- Provide training and technical support to users, administrators, and others who interact with live CE offerings.
- Conduct routine assessments to identify industry best practices and program gaps, and address solutions or program refinements in a timely manner.
- Manage coordination and delivery of CE programs to ensure they are effectively implemented as directed by the Client Communications management team.
- Ensure consistency of CE delivery for live offerings across the enterprise.
- Evaluate and measure the impact of CE delivery and provide quarterly reports to sales leadership with recommendations for program changes and/or enhancements.
- Track YOY employee time costs relative to credit issuance for CE programs.
- Audit the facilitation of live programs (face-to-face and virtual) to ensure program compliance and quality control.
- Develop, lead, and administer a train-the-trainer program to build competency among facilitators and key stakeholders.
- May be assigned to attend conferences to support continuing education needs.
Event Management
- Navigate logistics, contracting, catering and audio/visual needs related to internal and external events, including learning sessions, new hire orientations, diversity and inclusion, multi-regional engagements, social gatherings, and more.
- Ensure continued compliance with documented event processes, life safety procedures, and other firm policies and procedures.
- Maintain quality control for digital marketing deliverables, including proofreading and adherence to brand standards.
- Delegate event tasks as needed to planners or supporting business partners while maintaining awareness of local event calendars, timelines, and resource needs.
- Maintain hands-on involvement and service-minded approach throughout the event lifecycle, including a willingness to roll up sleeves and support the broader team as needed to stay on schedule.
- Manage event budgets, invoices, and cost allocations for event portfolio.
- Create and manage custom websites for live and virtual events using provided event management software.
- Work in tandem with Broadcast team to deliver high quality webcasts and virtual events across multiple regions.
- Liaise with local catering manager or preferred vendor to ensure food and beverage requests are correct, clearly labeled, and dietary restrictions are properly addressed.
- Maintain centralized dashboard to track global event metrics.
- Ensure excellent communication standards between co-workers, peers, and managers while navigating conflicts or disagreements in a professional and timely manner.
- Embody departmental core attributes, team culture, and the firm’s guiding principles to lead by example.
- Willingness to work in-office or travel on Mondays or Fridays as needed.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8 years of experience within the corporate events or hospitality industries with a minimum of four years in event operations or management.
- Self-starter who is an independent thinker capable of managing multiple timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong performer who consistently strives to deliver high quality results.
- Ability to work with C-level executives, regional leadership, employees, clients, and prospects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organization, time management, and follow-through skills.
- Eye for details and quality control.
- Strong computer skills (MS 365, Cvent, GlobalMeet) and ability to learn programs as needed.
- Advanced understanding of continuing education program management, learning management, or similar.
- Advanced understanding of support needs for meetings of all sizes.
- Knowledge of finance industry a plus.
- Minimal travel required, if any.
