Job Summary
This professional will be an integral member of Investure’s Accounting and Treasury team. This position will report to the Client Accounting Controller and be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and operations of Investure’s foundation and endowment client investment portfolios. The ideal candidate will be driven by results, but focused on process, extremely detail-oriented, with the ability to see the big picture, challenge the status quo when appropriate, and maintain strategic focus while evaluating tactical challenges. Cultural fit, humility, and willingness to learn are imperative. The position is based in-office with a remote option on Fridays and during the summer a remote option for Thursdays and Fridays.

Based in Charlottesville, Virginia, Investure was founded in 2003 to serve as the outsourced investment office to a select number of non-profit endowments and private foundations. Essential Functions
Responsible for day-to-day accounting and operations of Investure’s foundation and endowment client investment portfolios, including but not limited to the following:
- Monthly and quarterly client investment portfolio accounting closes
- Review the client custodian accounting workpaper packages and prepare internal shadow Net Asset Value (“NAV”) packages
- Perform transaction and valuation entry into Investure’s internal accounting system
- Assist in the facilitation of data integration between Investure’s internal accounting system and performance reporting system
- Address and resolve daily transaction and cash reconciliation issues between internal accounting system and client custodian
- Complete the detailed reconciliation of the underlying manager capital statements
- Facilitate ad hoc requests with underlying managers, arising from the closing process
- Assist and support with the clients’ audited financial and tax return process, including preparing various supporting schedules, providing audit confirmations, and answering auditor/tax preparer questions
Responsibilities and title will ultimately be commensurate with the professional’s experience and demonstrated faculties and judgement.
Education, Experience & Skills
- 2+ years of professional work experience in public accounting or industry with at least one year of direct investment fund accounting experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferred, CPA or CPA track a plus
- Proficient using standard office software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote
- Experience using a double-entry accounting system, preferred; experience with Research Management Systems a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail, while being able to understand application and the big picture
- Desire to improve and develop individual knowledge and technical abilities
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism
- Ability to work within a team taking on responsibilities as needed for timely delivery within No job too small mentality is essential
