Sr. Associate - Business Development (Alternative Investment Managers)
Position
As a Sr. Business Development Representative, you are leading the sales origination process to sell comprehensive fund services for open-end and closed-end funds to Alternative Asset Managers, including Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Assets, and Digital Assets Strategies. To be successful, you deploy multiple lead generation strategies and work closely together with marketing and other sales colleagues to develop a solid sales pipeline. You are able to deliver the Apex value proposition and explain how Investment Managers and their investors benefit from Apex’s global footprint and having access to all major jurisdictions and local teams. Responsibilities
The Business Development position is client-facing and has the following responsibilities:
- Originate new sales opportunities with new clients to make sure the sales team achieves their yearly new revenue target
- Manage the top of the sales pipeline by identifying prospects and qualifying new business opportunities
- Researching prospects, uncover buyer’s needs, tailoring marketing materials, and deliver the value proposition
- Monitoring relevant market development and trends in the alternative investment management industry
- Increase brand value by (co-)organizing events
- Develop and manage a network of investment managers, fund sponsors, trustees, counsels, auditors, and other key industry players
- Have robust knowledge of Apex’s offering and value proposition
- Log sales activities in our CRM-software Salesforce
Personal profile
- Sales hunter with 3 to 5 years of sales origination experience, preferably in financial services
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Fundamental knowledge of alternative investment strategies
- Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude that takes charge of his/her own success
- Effective communicator and strong listener with the analytical capability to match client’s needs with services offered
- High integrity and client centric
- Undergraduate/bachelor’s degree
- Willingness to travel

- Base salary ranging between $95,000 and $125,000 (depending on your seniority)
