Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Production Support Specialist with in-depth understanding of capital markets verticals, specifically within the Equity Derivative space. A strong understanding of supporting front-to-back production trading systems with a focus on connectivity, risk and position management. In this role, you will provide critical support for the Equity Derivative trading operations, ensuring the stability and efficiency of systems that facilitate trading, settlement, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Build out effective monitoring via ITRS GENEOS, Grafana Dashboards and Elastic log collection in order to support end-to-end trading applications, from front-office execution through to back-office settlement.
- Be an experienced problem solver who can troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network connectivity, market data services, FIX messaging, and overall client / server operations while ensuring seamless communication with the trade desk.
- Bring understanding of automation and SRE oriented operations that will reduce manual toil, invent solutions that streamline processes while guiding development in building a environment that is supportable in design.
- Manage deep infrastructures and understand server, database, and operational optimization practices.
- Have extensive SQL knowledge that can be used to extract, manipulate, and analyze data for issue resolution, reporting, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with traders, operations, and IT teams to identify and address system issues and optimize performance.
- Run programs which include topics such as vulnerability remediation, disaster recovery, parallel environment management, and others.
Must-Have
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 5+ years of experience in a lead / senior production support role.
- Solid experience in Unix-based systems, capable of collaborating effectively with Unix admins and network teams.
- Experience in scripting in Python, React or other automation technology.
- Strong familiarity with FIX, SWIFT or other messaging protocols.
- Knowledge of SQL Oracle and Mongo databases from data extraction to problem solving daily issues.
- Proven track record in building monitoring solutions that incorporate the latest technologies and protocols including open telemetry, Splunk or elastic log collection, Dynatrace, ITRS, etc.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of front-to-back office processes and systems utilized in a trading environment.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $135,000 - $225,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
