The Public Employees Retirement System is recruiting for one (1) Benefit Unit Supervisor (Business Operations Supervisor 2) (Hybrid Work) position within the Operations Division, Data Services Section.
- This is a full-time, permanent position.
- This position is based at our headquarters office in Tigard, Oregon, however, the successful candidate will be eligible for full-time hybrid work. This position has a business need to be in-office several times per month and working remotely for the rest of the time.
- This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.
- This is a management services position and is not represented by a union.

What you will be doing:
As a Benefit Unit Supervisor (Business Operations Supervisor 2), you will supervise the death, divorce, and disability units, directing day-to-day operations resolving issues, and ensuring the functional and process goals and objectives of the agency are met.

Minimum Qualifications Required:
Benefit Unit Supervisor (Business Operations Supervisor 2)
Four years of leadwork, supervisor, or progressively related experience.
OR
One year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

- Demonstrated success in guiding teams and setting strategic direction.
- Capable of working independently and managing priorities effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills that include being an active listener and having the ability to adapt communication style to the audience
- Skilled in handling sensitive and emotionally charged topics.
- Strong organization skills with ability to prioritize time and resources.
