General Summary and Purpose:
Victory Capital is looking for a Wealth Specialist in their San Antonio, Texas location. As a Wealth Specialist you will promote Victory Capital’s investment products and determine which investment products meet the needs of a customer. You will advise the customer or potential customer, regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different investment products. You will initiate and follow up with customers and potential customers, with sales strategies, answer product and service questions, provide performance data, and identify new sales opportunities among your customer base. You will advise customers in different stages of their investment journey, working with clients to help them navigate through multiple markets while working to achieve their financial goals.
You will report to the Sales Manager.
You Will:
- Manage and build relationships with potential clients across multiple areas, working to understand their investment goals, risk tolerance and identifying opportunities to grow Victory Capital’s investment business.
- Opens, transfer, and close customer accounts.
- Maintain appropriate account records while monitoring the customer's portfolio.
- Serve as a product expert for Victory Capital investment products, with an in-depth understanding of investment strategies, performance, and risk characteristics.
- Determine which financial products best meet the customer’s needs and financial circumstances.
- Recommend and prepare proposals outlining financial services and products to meet clients’ needs and goals.
- Develop and discuss client appropriate financial plans.
- Proactively follow up with clients and prospective clients to provide sales strategies and ideas, answer product questions, provide performance data, and identify new sales opportunities.
- Monitor markets and economies, evaluating how changes may affect clients.
- Proactively discuss the market environment including challenges and opportunities for investors.
- Collaborate with internal investment teams to develop sales strategies, marketing materials, and client communications.
- Adhere to federal, state, local laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and community.
- Conduct presentations and educational outreach efforts, informing the public of financial services with a goal of attracting new clients and leads.
- Initiate sales telephone calls to clients, provide sales ideas, answer questions about Victory products, provide, analyze and understand performance data and explain such data to clients, identify new sales opportunities, and help with launching new products.
- Attend and support client events or conferences as a Victory Capital Management representative.
You Have:
- B.S. or B.A. in related field; or
- Received training in a client support or internal/external sales role.
- Five-seven years of experience in the mutual fund/financial services industry and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
- Series 6, 7 and 63 licenses required (or to be obtained within 90 days of hire.)
- Previous investment or brokerage sales experience.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial principles.
- Experience meeting sales goals.
- Knowledge in financial planning concepts for high-net-worth clients.
- Knowledge of the financial products and services and demonstrated passion and interest in financial markets.
- A thorough understanding of financial services and how markets and economies affect those services.
- Excellent sales and service skills.
- A focus on client satisfaction.
