Your Future Team
Hightower is looking for a Senior Manager to help lead its Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. You will partner with the organization and Finance team leadership to guide the development and achievement of FP&A team goals. The FP&A team uses financial and operational data to support strategy development, achieve growth plans, and identify efficiency opportunities in the organization. The team collaborates with the organization to support informed decision-making and strategy execution.
What You’ll Do
You will bring a balance of financial and analytical capabilities and strong communication skills. You will lead the FP&A team in building and improving processes that drive performance and scale while supporting the top-line growth of the organization. You will collaborate within the Finance team and across the organization to support financial and strategic planning, monthly and quarterly financial close processes, and building and analyzing our performance metrics. You will work with organizational leadership and key external stakeholders to communicate our performance and advise on the achievement of the company strategy.
- Lead the FP&A team in the financial close, reporting, forecasting, and annual strategic planning processes
- Partner with senior leadership to provide the financial & analytical perspective in the development of the company’s strategy
- Interact with senior leaders across corporate functions and advisor practices to support decision making by leading the team in building financial models and providing a financial & analytical perspective to business questions
- Drive continuous process improvement of reporting capabilities for key deliverables, including forecasts, annual planning, and cross-functional reporting
- Develop junior team members to execute on current job responsibilities and seek growth opportunities for longer-term growth
- Present to the broader organization on the story of company performance
- Own the development process and delivery of key deliverables for investors, Board of Directors, and senior management
- Lead junior team members on best practices for leveraging large datasets to develop insights and drive business outcomes
- Manage cross-functional relationships as a representative of the FP&A team across the corporate function and with the advisor practices
- Manage FP&A processes and effectively communicate initiative progress, roadblocks, questions, and timelines to team leadership
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent experience
- Experience managing a team
- 8+ years of experience in a financial analytics environment where you have gained experience in corporate finance and business strategy
- Relevant experience includes Corporate Finance, M&A advisory, financial consulting, or other analytically driven roles
- Ability to summarize complex data in a clear and concise manner
- Baseline of financial concepts, financial modeling capabilities, and an understanding of core financial statements
- Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with other data processing / visualization tools (Tableau, Alteryx)
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new systems and processes
- Written and active communication skills
