Your opportunity
- Provide expeditious response to client inquiries including, but not limited to, trade placement, resolution and/or trade verification, request for tax and distribution information, fee returns, and transaction research.
- Be responsible for processing a large volume of all types of intermediary client transaction requests.
- Accept, record, and process client transaction requests, including purchases, redemptions, exchanges, cancellations/corrections, transfers, new account set up, and account maintenance.
- Research and resolve trading errors or discrepancies ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Be accountable for monthly commission run balancing for 12B-1 and Service Fee payments
- Maintain and update payment information on accounts to accurately drive commission payments
- Respond to inquiries regarding commission payments to back office and brokers
- Execute trade settlement by maintaining current bank information records and generate outgoing wires through State Street and Wells Fargo Bank
- Negotiate and process client request for access to DST Vision
- Be consistently available on the helpdesk to service internal and external clients
- Monitor Outlook inbox to respond to client inquiries in a timely manner
- Research and resolve outstanding reconciliation items
- Independently ensure daily deadlines are met with respect to rejected and manual trades, estimate cut-offs, trade tickets, etc.
- Resolve cost basis issues with intermediaries for outgoing transfers
- Monitor and relay large trade notifications to PMs and other interested parties
- Respond to audit inquiries from institutional clients and financial intermediaries via written correspondence
- Conduct application development and user testing – generate new ideas for automated alternatives to manual processes and reporting. Propose and test new applications in conjunction with IT in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Assist in developing and implementing new processes and system enhancements to increase department efficiency
- Monitor specialized NSCC trading reports for unauthorized activity, and works with financial intermediaries to reclaim losses caused from trades
- Work with Legal and Sales to ensure operational requirements and considerations are met
- Create, audit, and modify various reports in a timely manner in order to maintain accurate records with the appropriate departments.

Must have skills
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and research skills
- Ability to communicate with employees, management, other areas of the organization, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner.
- Strong knowledge of AWD
- Working knowledge of the NSCC and products as required
- Detailed knowledge of negotiability requirements regarding shareholder transactions, including transfers, redemptions, purchases, and exchanges
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of various share classes e.g. A/C/R/S/T/I/VIT
- Ability to maintain transaction quality above 99%.
- Knowledge of trailing commission, admin and revenue sharing payments
- Ability to use personal computer and software applications.
- Strong Janus Henderson Intermediary product knowledge, i.e. JIF, VIT, ETF, sub-advised, and commingled.
- Thorough understanding of legal negotiability for trade processing
- Ability to resolve complex client issues.
- Strong knowledge of janushenderson.com preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of the following applications required within twelve months of hire: DST SmartDesk, State Street Cash Manager, One Touch, Cognos, Outlook, TA2000, 3270, Same Day Cash (SDC), AWD, and Vision Home Office (VHO)
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including MS Word and Excel
- Minimum one year of experience within the operating areas of Janus Henderson or equivalent.
- Minimum two years client service experience or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Series 6 & 63 is preferred.
- Series 26 may be required

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $55,000-$60,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This role will remain open through November 15, 2024. Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
