As the Senior Director, Events & Sponsorship for MissionSquare Retirement, you will be reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and joining a team of experienced, passionate marketing professionals dedicated to serving our clients. You will lead our overall events and sponsorship program, internally and across the financial services industry, with a hyper-focus on lead generation and expansion of brand recognition in the market. This role will be the perfect fit for you if you are an experienced, highly motivated event & sponsorship professional who takes a creative and strategic approach to event and sponsorship marketing.
Essential Functions For This Role Include
- Lead national & regional sponsorships and events team.
- Oversee event logistics (lodging, meeting space, receptions, meals, etc.) for the following activities: executive retreats, board meetings, National Sales Conference, corporate events, client advisory, consultant advisory, enterprise partnerships, etc.
- Establish and nurture relationships with vendors, venues, and other industry contacts to craft and implement creative and logistical aspects of all events.
- Build, cultivate, and improve the systems, processes, and tools that enable high-impact events and the achievement of strategic goals.
- Travel and scheduling flexibility is a required aspect of the job
If you have the following skills, we encourage you to apply:
- Minimum of 10+ years successful event management experience, preferably within the financial services or a related industry
- BA/BS or equivalent experience
- Strategic Thinker/ Ability to provide Creative Solutions
- Proven leadership skills building and leading high performing organizations
- Strong experience and success in managing and negotiating with third-party vendors
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once, set priorities, work independently, problem solve, improvise, and function as part of a team that must perform under pressure
- Ability to influence those over whom there is no authority
