As the Director of Fair and Responsible Banking, you will lead a small team responsible for ensuring we are living up to our commitments and serving our clients with the highest standards of fairness and equity. This is the right thing to do, for our clients, our communities, and our business. Your team will provide support for 1st Line of Defense (1LOD) bank regulatory consumer compliance, including deposit compliance, lending compliance, with a specific focus on Fair Lending and UDAAP. These regulations are overseen by the Federal Reserve Bank-Dallas, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and the state of Texas (Department of Savings & Mortgage Lending. You and your team will focus on maintaining Schwab’s strong record of compliance and managing risks associated with rising expectations to ensure we maintain the trust and confidence of our clients and regulators.
What you have
- Minimum of 8 years of banking or financial services leadership experience in an environment of similar scale and complexity, overseeing diverse teams and motivating employees to achieve both tactical and strategic delivery goals.
- Demonstrated experience leading the administration of a UDAAP Program
- Strong track record of shaping strategy and leading with influence.
- Experience staying abreast of the evolving regulatory landscape and demonstrating impeccable judgement to prioritize numerous initiatives in flight.
- Exceptional communicator with the ability to build credibility and confidently convey information regarding Schwab’s regulatory compliance.
- Proven success navigating a fast-paced and technically complex environment.
- Successful history of building and cultivating strong authentic relationships with internal/external business partners to create alignment and support.
- Demonstrated experience evaluating regulations, articulating potential impacts to the Firm, and working with business partners to implement action plans.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Base Compensation: $116,100- $258,100. Your compensation may be different. Talk with your Talent Advisor to learn more. In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or other incentive opportunities.
