Job Description & Responsibilities:
The Associate will join the BREIT Shareholder Relations team in New York. The Associate will primarily focus on executing BREIT’s communications strategy and be involved in a collaborative effort to promote the capital raising and client service efforts of BREIT and its distribution partners through various marketing, sales strategy and business development initiatives. The Associate will spend significant time with other members of Blackstone’s real estate group, including the portfolio management, acquisitions, asset management, legal & compliance and finance teams, as well as work closely with the Blackstone Private Wealth Solutions, Public Affairs and Firmwide marketing teams. The main areas of responsibility for the role include:
- Produce creative and compelling written materials and information that resonate with internal and external audiences (existing and prospective investors)
- Develop various stockholder communications, including monthly/quarterly portfolio updates, periodic letters, thought leadership, etc.
- Produce monthly and ad-hoc talking points and messaging for internal audiences in response to portfolio updates/positioning, press, market/economic news, etc.
- Coordinate with acquisitions, asset management and public affairs teams on communications for new and existing transactions
- Draft remarks for senior leaders for conferences, events and other public speaking engagements
- Serve as a highly detail-focused writer/reviewer of BREIT content with ability to edit for style, substance and grammar
- Ensure consistency of messaging across all marketing and written content and ensure content complies with global marketing regulations and Blackstone’s brand and messaging guidelines
- Become an expert on BREIT’s structure and investments
- Beyond communications, support various marketing, sales strategy, client service and business development initiatives
This professional will have active involvement with the senior leaders of one of the largest real estate managers in the world and will support a highly productive and innovative fundraising team.
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated (a self-starter), have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and time management skills, the successful candidate must have:
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Prior work experience in investor relations and/or real estate private equity is preferred
- Proven ability to write effectively and persuasively to engage key stakeholders across a variety of different forms
- Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments, often under competing deadlines
- Ability to produce creative, compelling, detailed materials and information for existing and prospective investors; strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Leadership and strong project management skills
- Candidate should be a team-oriented individual who thrives on challenge in a dynamic environment
- Strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to learn
- Operate with the highest degree of professional integrity, motivation and intellectual curiosity

Expected annual base salary range:
$107,000 - $185,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
