Position Summary
Fiduciary Trust International (FTI) is hiring a
Tax Associate to join the tax services team located in Radnor, PA (greater Philadelphia area). As part of the comprehensive services we offer, FTI provides unparalleled customized tax services to our clients. The tax services team provides tax compliance and consulting to our high net worth (HNW) clients.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Tax Associate?
Tax Administration
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns, extensions, quarterly estimated tax payments and associated filings.
- Create engagement letters for tax preparer to sign. Distribute to clients along with client organizer and track the return of these items.
- Process electronic filing of tax returns or file by paper if required.
- Maintain tax database for tracking of all client deadlines and filings. Maintain tax refunds ledger.
- Review fiduciary and individual account transactions for accuracy for tax reporting.
- Correspond with the tax authorities concerning notices received for questions concerning account related tax issues.
- Print and mail notices to the IRS and State agencies as needed.
- Support tax department year-round with administrative functions as needed.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Recent college grads encouraged to apply - must be able to join the firm on or around January 31, 2025.
- 1-3 years of tax / administrative experience preferred. Will accept accounting majors and those with prior intern experience relevant to the field of accounting or tax
- Experience using MS Excel, Word and Outlook, with the ability to learn multiple tax programs
- Experience using ProSystem Tax or OneSource Trust Tax a plus, but not required
- Experience with trust accounting software a plus
Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the base salary for this position to be $43,800 – 51,600 per year.
