The SVP Wholesale Analytics will play a vital role in the measurement and assessment of financial and non-financial risks for the bank. Will develop sophisticated models to provide analytical solutions and tools to quantify key risk metrics.
As our SVP Wholesale Analytics you will:
- Lead wider team effort to meet regulatory and financial reporting obligations
- Lead wider team effort on credit risk model development and implementation
- Lead ad-hoc analyses to support business and other stakeholder requirements
- Develop and enhance methodologies and modelling framework for credit risk assessment
For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $170,000.00 and $220,000.00
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Qualifications
You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
- Relevant professional work experience in a bank, rating agency, consultancy, or advisory firm is a plus
- Research or work experience with MLOps and LLM
- MSc or PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, engineering, statistics, economics, data science, etc)
- 8+ Years’ experience in Analytics and Modelling roles, including practical experience in developing predictive credit risk models leveraging statistical and (or) machine learning methods
- Proficient understanding of mathematical and statistical theory and methodology, fundamental AI/ML techniques
- Strong understanding of Wholesale credit & lending business and products, credit risk models and use in capital and financial planning, regulatory expectation, and industry best practices
- Hands on experience with Python/R/SQL/PySpark
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated project management and stakeholder management skills (including both internal senior management and external regulatory agencies)
