Barclays Services Corp. seeks Application Development Technology Lead in Whippany, New Jersey (multiple positions available):
- Work through the Barclay’s product development cycle from requirement understanding, data analysis, design and development, automated testing and release management.
- Responsible for development and delivery of all technical changes.
- Partner effectively with globally distributed IT team members within team and across other teams.
- Engage with partner technology teams, both “Build the Bank” and Run the Bank” teams, across multiple geographies, and ensure delivered capability meets the scope and requirements agreed with business stakeholders.
- Ensure appropriate quality assurance of the deliverables, and successful transition of projects into production with appropriate logging and control framework.
- Support, monitor and troubleshoot of both production and non- production environments as well as addressing any client/user queries promptly.
- Plan, manage and track deliverables and ensure timely delivery with quality.
- Ensure alignment Barclays Engineering Excellence standards and timely remediation of Tech Debt.
- Utilize knowledge of complex system flows and technical data flows and come up with better designs and solutions for existing or newly developed modules.
- Make technical updates to reduce the manual support overhead for the system.
- Ensure code written meets the predefined company and department standards.
- May telecommute.

Purpose of the role
To collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the product development process and utilise their knowledge of the bank’s technologies to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap.
Accountabilities
- Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development.
- Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team.
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure.
- Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
- Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery.
