This is a Senior Funding and Liquidity Analyst position within US Liquidity Management group that involves provision of technical expertise to limit, monitor and report on liquidity risk of the combined US Operations. The candidate’s technical expertise and experience will result in high quality analysis that supports the monitoring and management of the US liquidity risk appetite.
The role will specialize in the development and review of the assumptions in CIBC’s US Cash Flow Forecasting and US Liquidity Stress Testing models. Within this framework and in a fast paced, high profile environment, the candidate is accountable to:
Serve as a subject matter expert on ILST assumptions, scenarios, and risk management.
Conduct in-depth research and use a combination of quantitative support and business judgement to calibrate assumptions that accurately reflect potential liquidity impacts.
Develop, test and implement quantitative models to support liquidity measurement.
Maintain the framework and documentation for ILST including the scenario narratives, assumptions, historical analysis and benchmarking activities.
Partner with other Treasury colleagues across the bank globally to improve the US Liquidity Management practices.
Support the implementation of effective process and control, in accordance with internal and external quality standards and requirements for liquidity reporting.
Participate in projects to improve existing reporting applications and technology designs/processes.
Support preparation of in depth analysis on liquidity exposures as required and prepare presentations to Management and other forums such as management committees.
Assist in liquidity risk analyses and recommendations to support development of Liquidity Measurement & Management, and Contingency Planning strategies.
Support resolution of audit deficiencies and other initiatives as required.
At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $85K - $115K for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
