As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee financial reporting responsibilities along with some month-end close processes for the North America division. You will perform account reconciliations on a monthly basis with documented support, complete all journal entries each period while providing well-organized and easy to follow support, provide audit requests as needed for both internal and external auditors.
Responsibilities:
- Complete financial reporting requests that relate to financial disclosures, financial statement tie-outs, roll-forward schedules, and other financial reporting deliverables needed by the technical accounting team.
- Independently prepare month-end journal entries to be recorded in the Workday ERP system and explain all components.
- Prepare account reconciliations on a monthly basis with well-documented support.
- Provide audit requests as needed, meeting assigned deadlines.
- Comply with internal SOX requirements and execute/understand assigned key controls.
- Navigate Workday and other key reporting systems, understand how to analyze accounts, and identify risks.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
- Provide flux analysis comparing income statement and balance sheet accounts across various periods, and be able to explain major drivers for the change in balances on a monthly basis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting
- 2-3 years of experience within Accounting
- Experience with SEC reporting, month-end close, recording journal entries, and performing account reconciliations
- Experience working for a public company
- Advanced Excel skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule from an office in Austin, Boston, Chicago, Charlotte, New York City, Norwalk CT
Preferred:
- CPA designation or working towards CPA designation
- Experience working in public accounting.

The budgeted amount range for this position in NYC and the State of Connecticut is $88,000 - $110,000.
